I was honored this week to be a judge for a New Mexico VA Creative Writing Contest.

The stories were wonderful, some were so heart-wrenching I cried. Some stories were completely creative and fun, others reflected a need to share their pain and their nightmares.

It isn’t easy to take it all in, but they do so much for us, it’s the least I can do to support the program and the individuals. Good luck to all the entrants!
