I won an award for this short story and now it’s time to publish it online! I hope you enjoy.

I need to get out of this small town, but my pig, Petal, has to win the pageant to get me the money I need. In the meantime, I’ve got to keep her away from troublesome tourists and make sure she’s ready for the most important day of her life.
2nd place winner in the Titlewave Books flash fiction contest.
Inspired by a NYC Challenge, this is a coming of age story about Laney and Petal.
