I know so many of you are waiting for the next novel in the Idol Maker Series (aka Gamble of the Gods!) So if you’ve already read Toy of the Gods, here are some other books to keep you reading. And keep an eye out for Gamble of the Gods in September!
E.M. Stone’s – Aztec Curse.
The perfect blend of science, adventure, and drama. “archaeologist Dr. Angela Hunter, an expert in ancient linguistics, has discovered a primitive codex written in an unknown language. As she painstakingly deciphers the mysterious symbols, Angela finds clues that somehow connect a dormant evil, a mystical ritual, and a vindictive curse.”
F. Paul Wilson – The Tomb.
A friend of mine turned me on to this book after he read Toy of the Gods. F. Paul Wilson’s Repairman Jack series is a mix of supernatural, adventure, and thriller that I thoroughly enjoyed. I think you will too.
Anne McCafferey – Killashandra.
I tend to write a lot of strong female characters and that comes from reading other authors with strong female characters. That includes Anne’s Killashandra/Crystal Singer series. Killashandra faces a devastating disappointment and takes her life into her hands and turns it into something amazing. This series is one of my favorite.
Michael Crichton – Jurrasic Park.
This story blends futuristic tech with adventure and scary animals with big teeth. If you’ve seen the movie, you should still read the book!
Dan Abbett & Nik Vincent – Tomb Raider: The Ten Thousand Immortals.
Toy of the Gods has often been compared to Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones. And guess what, those aren’t just movies.
I hope you enjoy!
