My recent fractured fairy tale hit the best seller list!
You might think you know the story of Cinderella, but what you don’t know is that an evil witch stole her family’s memories, rewrote history, and Cinder isn’t going to let her get away with it again.
Cinder will explore new parts of the forest, sneak through the witch’s house, and even wear magic glass stilettos if it will help her take on the witch and save the prince. But can she take on the strongest witch of the land without a drop of magic to her own name?
A fractured fairy tale for adults.
I was inspired an image drawn by my friend Emina Slavnic in October (now the cover), then I wrote a 250 word story based on the image and a challenge from NYC Midnight that made honorable mention, then I turned it into this five thousand word short story!
I have to say I didn’t expect to become a best seller and get such attention, but I’m happy to share stories of strong female characters, especially in the fairy tale genre (or fractured fairy tale).
