How to write a book

How to write a book – it isn’t easy. I talk with Wally about how to get it done.

Early on a Saturday morning I headed out for a radio interview on Wally in the Morning. It was the same day as Balloon Fiesta but the balloons weren’t in the air yet because there was an unusual fog hovering in Albuquerque.

Wally and I talked about my first novel, Toy of the Gods; about publishing; on how to write a book (I highly recommend National Novel Writing Month). I also have a book that can help – The Five Minute Author: How to Write a Novel.

The interview was video recorded, so if you want to see the Facebook video, click here or on the image above.

Partial transcript of the interview:

“Wally Drangmeister here and we have a guest in this half hour. Sonja Dewing, she’s an author, renaissance lady. Sonja, great to have you here.”

“Thank you Wally. It’s awesome to be here. Got here through all the fog today.”

“Right? Fog in New Mexico is a pretty rare thing. Sonja, you do a lot of things. Let’s talk about a few of them. The first thing I want to ask you about is your writing. I know you have a book that I’ve read. I think there’s another book. Tell us about your books, what those are, and how you got started.”

“So my first book is Toy of the Gods. It’s a group of tourists are stranded in the Amazon by an Inca god so they have to make their way out on foot, past bandits hired to kill them, …” To hear the complete interview, check it out on Facebook.
